Councillors are continuing to discuss with Yorkshire Water plans for the future of surplus land on Yorkshire Water's land at Esholt to make sure that local people's views are included. When the possibility of the land becoming surplus was first raised with us we immediately suggested that increased public access must be their first priority.
“Clearly the Local Development Framework is going to allow some housing and business development” says Jeanette Sunderland “I see this as a great opportunity for a discussion about how we create a country park to secure the woodland and improve access to their site for everyone."
“If anyone wishes to join a group of local people discussing what could happen then please get in touch with me. If you haven’t yet had your say then please go on-line to the address below and complete the survey. If you cannot get on-line please give us a call and we'll post one to you."
Over 700 people have had their say on the future of Esholt. If you haven’t had your say there is still time.
